Why choose an Apple smartphone running IOS ?
For many, Apple has come to represent design excellence. If you enjoy going to the movies (and how many of us don’t?) then you have almost certainly seen the distinctive Apple logo strategically displayed in a key movie scene. This frequent representation of Apple as a producer of devices that are desirable and cool has done a lot to convince consumers that Apple is the must have brand. In the opinion of WhatPhone, Apple smartphones are high quality and offer features that possibly provide greater service protection than Android.
Like Android, Apple offers its users the facility to download apps to their phone. A significant difference however is the way that Apple controls its app store. The Apple app store is described as a closed system, this means that the apps you find there are approved and controlled by Apple. This is very different from the Android market which is open and developers are allowed to submit their app with perhaps little or no quality checking.
Apple not only manages quality control of their apps much more tightly, but Apple apps only need to work on Apple phones. Compared with Android which runs on various handset brands, this is one more simplification that helps make Apple phones and services consistently reliable.
Some people criticise this way of operating and say that Apple’s way of controlling things is like a walled garden, and that it restricts how creative they can be with their phones and products. WhatPhone says that this is probably a discussion for another forum, but if you want a good level of reassurance about consistent service delivery on your phone, Apple delivers.
