Telstra sometimes offer a plan that is “online-only” which has extra inclusions. At the time of writing it’s a whopping 35GB recharge plan.
And, of course, if you just want to purchase a Telstra prepaid SIM card alone without bundling in a recharge, you can get that online for just $2 as well.

You can pick up a prepaid SIM card in almost any supermarket, newsagent or service station in Australia. It’s almost always true to say that there’s a Prepaid SIM within 5km of where you are now – unless of course, you’re living in rural Australia.
