Samsung’s latest Galaxy S lineup includes three smartphones that are already available for pre-order, and will be shipped early March:
- Galaxy S20
- Galaxy S20+
- Galaxy S20 Ultra
In reality, you could say the lineup includes five Galaxy models, because the S20 has a 5G version (Galaxy S20 5G) and so does the Galaxy S20+.

As you’d expect, these phones pack a lot of punch – all the latest features and more, including a triple rear camera setup on all handsets, but one that’s especially massive on the Galaxy S20 Ultra model.
Of course, as you’d also expect, these phones cost a lot of money, starting at just under $1,350 basic 4G Galaxy S20 model. With such high costs, an outright payment for any of these devices might be a little too hard on your wallet.

The best phone plan for the Galaxy S20, S20 5G, S20+, and S20 Ultra
The Galaxy S20 lineup is available from Telstra, Optus, Vodafone, and Woolworths Mobile. Keep in mind that Telstra and Optus are the only telcos that have launched a 5G network, and coverage is only available in select areas. So while a huge part of the Galaxy S20 lineup is 5G capability, buying the phone on a payment plan from either Woolworths or Vodafone means you won’t be able to use its 5G functionality until those telcos offer 5G service.
However, if you purchase a 5G phone from Vodafone or Woolworths, you can use Telstra’s or Optus’ 5G network through their 5G wireless broadband.
Here are the best interest-free phone plans (with mobile plans added into the plan) in Australia for the new Galaxy S lineup:
- Samsung Galaxy S20 4G – Woolworths Mobile
Woolworths Mobile offer the best 36-month plans, ranging from $56.05 to $81.05 with 5GB to 50GB of data. Check out their $71.05 plan which includes 40GB of data – that’s a lot of value (compare that to Vodafone’s $77.47 plan with only 7GB data, and Telstra’s $87.47 plan with only 15GB of data). Woolworth also offer the best 24-month plans, ranging from $71.58 to $96.58. While Woolworths has the cheapest plans here as well, they don’t offer 5G service and that rules them out.
Optus have the best plans in the Galaxy S20 5G category amongst the telcos that actually offer 5G service. Their 24-month plans range from $93.09 to $133.09 with 10GB to 230GB of data. Check out their $103.09 plan that includes 60GB of data (compare to Telstra’s $122.45 with the same 60GB of data). Their 36-month plans range from $75.06 to $115.06 with 10GB to 240 GB of data. - Samsung Galaxy S20+ 5G – Optus
Optus offer some great deals for the Galaxy S20+ 5G on both 24 and 36-month plans when you add a mobile plan. Check out their $89.24 per month 36-month plan that includes the S20+ 5G and 60GB of data (compare to Telstra’s $95.80 with only 15GB of data). - Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G – Optus
Optus take this one as well, although the deals are pretty close across all major telcos. Woolworths have the cheapest, but, again, they don’t have 5G service yet, which kind of defeats the purpose. With Optus, getting the Galaxy S20 Ultra on a 36-month plan that includes 60GB of data will cost you less than $105 per month.

Right now, only four telcos are offering phone plans for the new flagship lineup: Telstra, Optus, Vodafone, and Woolworths Mobile.
